Who is EXPPD Deploy for?

Multimedia developers, creative studios, AV installers and teams building digital experiences in physical spaces. We’re building it for our own projects first, with a view to opening it to others.

Can I build my own app using web technologies?

Yes—that’s central to EXPPD Deploy. Build your interface with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, using familiar tools such as React, Vue or Three.js. Use EXPPD CMS and its content API for editable content, or supply your own assets and data. The aim is to package compatible web builds and run them locally on the player. We’ll document the supported build formats and runtime requirements as development progresses.

Will EXPPD Deploy support Android APKs?

Android APK support is a development goal. We want developers to be able to deploy Android experiences alongside web apps. APKs may need to be built or rebuilt for the player’s processor architecture and Android runtime, and tested on the target hardware. Compatibility and supported hardware will be confirmed as that work progresses.

Will it work without an internet connection?

Local playback is a core design goal. Compatible apps, media and content will be stored on the player. Apps that rely on external websites or live services will still need a connection for those features.

Do I need to buy your hardware?

No. You can use our preconfigured EXPPD Player or bring your own hardware. Your own hardware will need to meet the platform’s minimum specifications and compatibility requirements. We’ll publish these before launch, alongside the final EXPPD Player specifications, availability and pricing.

What will it cost?

We’re planning per-player subscriptions priced in Australian dollars. Hardware, installation and custom development will be quoted separately. Final plans and inclusions will be confirmed before launch; registering interest does not commit you to a purchase.

When can I try it?

EXPPD Deploy is in development, with no public launch date yet. Register your interest to hear about launch progress and opportunities to discuss an early project.
